| | |  |  Working in association with Jimmy's Farm | Why we are different:Alongside our Free Range Pig Roasts, we are now delighted to have also recently started working with Jimmy's Farm [from the BBC documentary series']. We can now supply rare breed, free range pigs from Jimmy's Farm as hog roasts. Rare breed pork delivers the most delicious flavour and is a fantastic talking point for your party or event.
The apple sauce is handmade from the best Bramley Apples, by slowly stewing the apples until soft and then gently crushing them together, to ensure you are left with a rich, full flavoured sauce.
Our apricot, sage & sausage meat stuffing is something to behold - the combination of the pork sausage meat and sautéed onions, with the subtle undertones of fresh sage would satisfy the most discerning palate. However at The Chopping Block we go that extra mile by adding roughly chopped apricots, which makes the final combination look amazing to the eye and unbelievable to the taste.
The hind quarter of beef is carefully sourced from local farms within the Midlands, and it is hand selected and hung for 3-4 weeks by our in-house Butcher to ensure a wonderful combination of tenderness and flavour.
The beef is served with lightly fried onions which have been carefully browned off in butter for the added flavour, and Traditional English Mustard and Creamed Horseradish.
| Pig Roasts, Beef Roasts & Barbecues:Our alfresco catering is one of the things we have become famous for. We cater at weddings, corporate events and garden parties alike all over the country. When you have fantastic ingredients like we have it makes everything so much easier to make a success of an event.
The Pig Roasts feed 120 people served on a plate or fill 150 Bread Rolls. The Beef Roast will serve 150 people on a plate and fill 200 Bread Rolls.
Take a look at our vast selection of Barbecue menu items, and then see if you can decide which ones to choose. If you would like salads or desserts adding to you order these can all be arranged as well.
For each event our staff will arrange to arrive between 1.5 and 2 hours before we are due to serve, and ideally try to arrange a discreet entrance to come through or will arrange to set up before guests arrive. They will bring a 3m x 3m Garden Gazebo as standard to set up under, with trestle tables and table cloths to serve from along with everything else they will need to cook and serve your meal.
